Our Purpose

This campaign aims to highlight the urgent need to improve the way we manage our native forests to restore ecosystems, boost carbon storage, create new jobs and generate revenue for ongoing forest management. The campaign also highlights the critical role of the plantation industry to meet most of our future timber needs.

About Us

Forest Futures is an initiative of the Australian Climate and Biodiversity Foundation. We believe that a new approach to looking after Australia’s bush is essential to protect and restore our native forests, preserve biodiversity and create new economic opportunities for regional communities. We are calling on the government to make a plan to address the problems in our native forests and  increase the value of our commercial plantation sector to grow jobs in manufacturing and create the products we need.
